Midweek Thoughts 4/25/18

It’s raining and it’s Wednesday. Time for some Midweek Thoughts.

1. Disappointments As Always: I was all set to attend my first FanCon this upcoming weekend, but the events surrounding the implosion of Universal FanCon has left me wondering if I’m even designed to be among other persons in this space. It’s like if you weren’t apart of their culture as long as they were, then you can’t be apart of it going forward. But anyway, if you’re going to be in Baltimore this weekend, there will be a pop up event called Wicomicon. I know exactly where that building is located as I see it from the highway as I’m coming from school. For those still coming to town, I hope that you have a great time.

2. 702 Bitten By The Reunion Bug: I’ve been waiting on this reunion since some other prominent girl groups were bring it back full circle. 702 hasn’t released an album since 2003’s Star, which featured the heavily slept on “I Still Love You”. It will be amazing to see what these ladies have to offer in this current R&B climate.

3. Rap Quote:

“So I walk up the street, whistlin’ this
Feeling out of place, ’cause man do I miss
A pen and a paper, a stereo, a tape of
Me and Eric B and a nice big plate of
Fish, which is my favorite dish
But without no money, it’s still a wish
‘Cause I don’t like to dream about gettin’ paid
So I dig into the books of the rhymes that I made
So now’s a test to see if I got pull
Hit the studio, ’cause I’m paid in full” – Rakim from Eric B. & Rakim’s “Paid In Full

4. Infinity War: As much as I’m ready to see it, I think I’m going to wait on it. After dealing with the crowds for Black Panther, I’m going to just fall back and hope that I’m able to see it soon.

5. One Day, It Will All Make Sense: I don’t know when that one day will be but sense of this mess has to come into focus.
