Bumps & Burials 1/17/18: New Times Three

Welcome to another edition of Bumps & Burials It’s 2018 and there’s a lot going on in world professional wrestling. Well mainly, the WWE. I mean TNA is a sinking ship but why look at a dumpster fire. Anyway, on to this post.

1. WWE Announces Three New Signings: The long awaited signing of Trevor “Ricochet” Mann, tag team War Machine and Candice LeRae were announced as a part of the new WWE Performance Center Class. With all the signings having pretty great careers in the independent circuit, it’s a wonder how they will fair in the house that Vince McMahon built.

2. …AND NEW UNITED STATES CHAMPION: Bobby Roode has been one of my favorites in the world of professional wrestling. And now, he can had his name to the list of greats that has held the United States title. A title with such rich history and I know that he will carry it well. I wonder if he’ll have to face Dolph Ziggler at the Royal Rumble or will they set a lengthly program that will culminated at WrestleMania?

3. Mixed Match Challenge: With the inaugural Mixed Match Challenge airing exclusively on Facebook Watch, the team of Finn Balor and Sasha Banks defeated Shinsuke Nakamura and Natalya. The match was fun but nothing that would have me clamoring to rewatch it again. It seems as if these matches will take place right after Smackdown Lives finishes airing. I like the viewing on Facebook Watch as wrestling fans all over the world tunes in. Also, Beth Phoenix is apart of the announce team with Michael Cole and Corey Graves. Speaking of which, After Michael Cole was tossed into a crowd of security on Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole was calling action on the #MMC. Does the WWE have a problem with continuity?

4. Jey Uso Arrested And Charged With DWI: Jey Uso can’t be messing up the money by getting arrested.

5. Braun Strowman: Dude has really been heeling it up on Monday Night RAW these past few months. Salute to him. But where did he find a damn grappling hook? Where Sway?
